Foundational Courses
Foundational courses do not count toward either the professional master’s or the graduate certificate in Arabic. Students may be required to take some or all of the following undergraduate-level courses:

- ARAB307: Intermediate Egyptian Colloquial Arabic II

- ARAB311: Intermediate Levantine Colloquial Arabic II
- ARAB330/331/332: Listening Strategies
Courses required for both the graduate certificate and the professional master’s in Arabic (18 graduate credits):
- ARAB603: Advanced Arabic into English Translation

- ARAB640: Socio-political Issues in Contemporary Arab Societies
