Registration Instructions

  1. Course Placement
    1. The program’s faculty director will determine course placement for each individual student.
    2. An e-mail will be sent to each student, listing the course placement for the given upcoming academic semester.
  2. Registration Instructions:
    1. Click on www.my.umd.edu.
    2. Log in using your directory ID/password.
    3. Click on “Academics & Testudo.”
    4. Click on “Take me to Registration Drop/Add.”
    5. Enter course rubric and section. (e.g., Course = ARAB 603, Section = 0101)
    6. Once finished, click “Enter.”
    7. Click “Sign Off.” Your class schedule will then be displayed.

Continuous Registration Policy

Students who will be away from the University for a semester or a year must request a waiver of continuous registration. A waiver is granted only if the student is making satisfactory progress toward the degree and can complete the degree requirements within the required time limits. Interruption of registration cannot be used to justify a time extension. A request for a waiver of registration should be filed 30 days before the beginning of the semester or year for which the waiver is sought.

  • Log in using your directory ID/password
  • Click on the “Academics & Testudo” tab at the top of the page
  • Click on the blue “Books” link, located in the center of the page in the box called “Course List/Book List/Exam Schedule”
