Dropping a Single Course

Summer & Winter Terms

Dropping a single course means that you are registered for two or more courses within a single session in either Summer Term or Winter Term. Once you drop the single course, you remain registered for at least one course within that session. Single course drops may be processed via MyUM up through schedule adjustment.

• If you are registered for only one course within a single session and wish to drop it after the session begins, this is considered a withdrawal.
• If you are registered for two or more courses within a single session in either Summer or Winter Term and wish to drop a single course after schedule adjustment, this is considered a Single Course Drop with 'W'. Single course drop with 'W' requests have strict deadlines.
