Summer and Winter Terms

Single Course Drop with 'W' means that you are dropping a single course for a specific session after the schedule adjustment period ends, remaining registered for at least one course for that session. A notation of "W" will post to your student record. Single course drop with 'W' requests have strict deadlines - see below for links for either Summer or Winter Term. All requests must be received in writing.

Canceling registration for all courses either on or after the first day of a specific session is considered a Withdrawal from All Courses.

Single Course Drop with 'W' means that you are a dropping a single course between the close of the fall semester schedule adjustment period and the end of the tenth week of classes (see below). A notation of 'W' will post to your student record. This mark will not be used in the computation of your cumulative grade point average. There is no refund associated with single course drop with 'W' requests. You may drop a maximum of four credits (except for UNIV 100).

Single course drop with 'W' requests must be approved by the Freshmen Connection advisor. In addition to academic consequences, dropping a course can have serious effects for students, especially international students or students receiving financial assistance. It is your responsibility to review these potential implications with the advisor before dropping a course.

Instructions for Submitting Single Course Drop with 'W' Request

Single Course Drop with 'W' requests must be received in writing (via mail, e-mail, fax, or in person). The request must containing student name and ID number. Students are responsible for determining the deadline for the request. Contact information:
