Financial Aid

For SIE, students are admitted to the University of Maryland as non-degree seeking post-baccalaureate undergraduate students. Financial aid is not available to non-degree-seeking students. Alternative or private loans may be an option. For more information, click on this link: http://www.financialaid.umd.edu/loans/choosing_alternative_lender.php

For specific questions, contact the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Terp Payment Plan

The Terp Payment Plan (TPP) is a convenient alternative to lump sum tuition payments. By enrolling in the plan, you can make monthly payments with no interest! For SIE, the TPP covers tuition, mandatory student fees, and parking permit. TPP does not cover library fines, parking tickets, health fees, previous debts, winter or summer terms.

Deadlines to enroll in TPP are as follows:

  • Fall Semester: August 20
  • Spring Semester: January 20

Veterans

SIE is a post-baccalaureate non-degree seeking program. As such, SIE is not a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) approved educational program and VA education benefits may not be used to pay for student enrollment into this program. For approved VA education programs visit: http://gibill.va.gov/resources/education_resources/choosing_a_school.html.

If you have questions or concerns, contact the Veterans Certification office: e-mail, vabenefits@umd.edu or phone, 301-314-8239.
