Plan of Study: Beekeeping

The GC-Beekeeping is a 12-credit (four 3-credit courses) graduate program designed to be completed in 12 months of continuous enrollment as outlined in the plan of study, below. 

The program uses the term academic calendar:  I (fall), II (winter), III (spring), IV (summer). See Approved Term Calendars for a specific academic year start and end dates. Online content is delivered through UMD’s online learning environment.

The GC-Beekeeping focuses on the anatomy, physiology, and ecology of the honeybee. Students are taught how to construct and maintain a hive and best practices for maintaining a healthy colony.
