Important Considerations

Students should visit Calendars & Deadlines to determine when registration opens and closes, and for cancellation, drop, and withdrawal deadlines. Here are other considerations:

  • Students admitted into MCLFS are required to maintain continuous enrollment for courses as outlined in the plan of study. See Academic Policies for a Waiver of Continuous Registration or Leave of Absence.
  • Students Provisionally Admitted on an Unofficial Transcript: Official transcripts indicating receipt of the degree must be submitted before the end of the first semester. Registration for a second semester will not be permitted unless these documents are received by the Graduate School.
  • Provisionally admitted students with a GPA below 3.0 have an academic block which prevents registration until the student earns a ‘B’ or better in either CLFS510 OR CLFS520. These courses are only offered in Term I or Term III. Neither course counts towards the 30 credits necessary to complete the Master of Chemical and Life Sciences.
  • Maintain minimum of 3.0 GPA and a B or better (including B-) for courses that are required.
