Plan of Study: GC - Multimedia Journalism

Overview

The GC-Multimedia Journalism is a 12-credit graduate program designed to be completed in nine months of continuous enrollment. Below is a sample plan of study. Students should use this as a guide to develop a plan with the program director. The program uses the semester academic calendar. Students enroll in two 3-credit courses in the fall and two in the spring, or they may choose to spread that load out over a second year, taking only one course each fall and spring semester.

Specific class meeting information (days and time) is posted on UMD’s interactive web service services, Testudo. Once on that site, select “Schedule of Classes,” then the term/year. Courses are listed by academic unit.

The program uses specific section codes for registration, which are listed on the plan of study. Actual course offerings are determined by the program and may vary. Students should note if a course has a pre-requisite or co-requisite.
