Program Overview

Graduate Programs in Arts Management is a series of academic programs that include a Master of Professional Studies and two graduate certificates. Graduate Programs in Arts Management is part of Arts for All—an initiative which partners the arts with the sciences, technology and other disciplines to develop new and reimagined curricular and experiential offerings that nurture different ways of thinking to spark dialogue, understanding, problem solving and action. Arts for All bolsters a campus-wide culture of creativity and innovation, making the University of Maryland a national leader in leveraging the combined power of the arts, technology and social justice to collaboratively address grand challenges.

Graduate Programs in Arts Management currently offers the Graduate Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship. Future academic programs will include a Master of Professional Studies in Arts Management and Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration. Graduate Programs in Arts Management is offered through the College or Arts and Humanities in collaboration with the Robert H. Smith School of Business, the School of Public Policy, and the iSchool.

Graduate Certificate in Arts Entrepreneurship

Emphasizes knowledge and skills in marketing management, accounting, artistic planning, arts policy, law, data literacy, grant writing and non-profit fundraising. Learn more.
