Program Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Hebrew Language Pedagogy (GC - Hebrew Language Pedagogy) trains pre-service and in-service Hebrew instructors, providing them with the most current materials and frameworks in language teaching research and methods while also solidifying their knowledge of Hebrew grammar and linguistic foundations. The program further equips teachers with hands-on, practical experience and methods to create their own daily lesson plans, teaching materials, and curricula.

The GC-Hebrew Language Pedagogy is offered through is offered through the Joseph & Rebecca Meyerhoff Program and Center for Jewish Studies in the College of Arts and Humanities. Designed for working professionals, students can earn a University of Maryland graduate certificate while continuing to work full-time with minimal disruption to personal and professional life.
